Hello, I am Rebecca Janell Henderson. By the grace of God, I am the creator of Biblical & Joyful Ministries.

I was born in the Philippines, where my parents were Missionaries. My parents came back to the United States when I was three, so I mainly grew up in Missouri. I heard the gospel at a young age and was often concerned about my eternal destiny.

I believed that I was a sinner and that Jesus died for me as a 5-year-old; however, I was often anxious that I was truly saved, and would pray over and over again to be saved since I doubted my salvation. When I was about 11 years old, I began to believe God’s Promises in God’s Word fully and securely believed that Jesus was my Savior, so I would go to heaven when I died. I knew I was a sinner and that I could never get to heaven on my own (Romans 3:23). Acts 16:31 says to “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved”. Additionally, John 3:15 says, “that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.” I started to believe God’s Word is always true, and claim the promises for being true, so I could 100% know for sure I was saved. I don't trust in a prayer but in Jesus' finished work on the cross and victorious resurrection for salvation. Lastly, Jesus said “And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand” (John 10:28) By putting my faith in God’s Word, I had assurance that Jesus would always be my Good Shepherd, and no power could remove my status of being a child of God.

I am grateful for growing up in a family that faithfully attended church and the impact of Carol Baptist Church in Atchison, KS, especially during my teen years. Here I was blessed with the strong teaching of the Word of God and friends who encouraged me in my relationship with God. I also made my faith public through believers’ baptism. In addition to reading God's Word, I enjoyed growing spiritually by attending Amazing Grace Baptist Camp every summer during my teen years, and I dedicated my life to God there. I am now an involved member at Fellowship Bible Church. To God be the Glory for the great things He has done throughout my life. I have truly seen God display Himself in miraculous ways.

I graduated from Bob Jones University with a BS in Biblical Counseling and minored in Computer Science in May 2022. At BJU, I affirmed their creed saying, “We believe in the inspiration of the Bible (both the Old and the New Testaments); the creation of man by the direct act of God; the incarnation and virgin birth of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ; His identification as the Son of God; His vicarious atonement for the sins of mankind by the shedding of His blood on the cross; the resurrection of His body from the tomb; His power to save men from sin; the new birth through the regeneration by the Holy Spirit; and the gift of eternal life by the grace of God.”.

In my free time, I enjoy studying the Bible, hiking through God’s creation, reading Biblical counseling books or devotionals, and spending time with family.
